Like many of you, I was disappointed when I heard the news that Donald Trump had not been re-elected President in a landslide. I watched the Trump rallies, and even attended the one in Prescott, Arizona, and saw all of the enthusiasm from his supporters. I counted the hundreds of Trump signs in people’s front yards and on street corners. I just knew he couldn’t lose even though all the polls said he would. I didn’t believe the polls then and I don’t believe the election results now.
The question is what do we do about it? I believe there are four major things that need to be done right away in order to preserve America as we know it, as our forefathers designed it and how we all hoped it would continue with President Trump’s “Make America Great” policies.
- Do not let yourself become discouraged by all the negative news. Remember, the news media is not on our side. President Trump has labeled it “fake news” for a reason. I have come to calling it Pravda. Pravda was the state-run newspaper of the communist party in the Soviet Union.
- Let the post-election lawsuits play out and hope that there are honest judges who will judge fairly and according to the law.
- Attend rallies that support President Trump and the rule of law. Show the President and the fake news that 73 million people in this country voted for the candidate of our choice and we are not going to stand idly by as the Left attempts to disenfranchise us.
- Prepare for the coming elections in 2022 and 2024. I believe that we are in the fight of our lives. A fight to maintain the freedoms we have enjoyed for 244 years. This fight may be even harder than our fight to free ourselves from British rule. Great Britain was 4200 miles from America. It’s going to be much harder to fight a foe who lives among us.
The one thing we should not do is riot or burn down our cities as those on the left do and have done many times this past year. Always remember that we are the party of law and order. We are the party that believes the Constitution is the supreme law of the land. We have sworn to defend it, not to violate it. It may turn out that Biden will be our next President. I hope not, but it may happen. It will be very important that we attack his policies and not Biden himself. For four years the Left told us that Donald Trump was not their president. If Biden is elected, he will be our president. Our job will be to turn him, or Harris, out of office in 2024.
We all witnessed the hate that started before Donald Trump was sworn in as our 45th President which was nonstop for the four years of his presidency. Those on the Left will continue to justify their hate and those on the Right will continue to condemn it. We all saw the rioting, the cities burning and the murders. What we do not see are those on the Left condemning it. What we did see is their tacit approval. I don’t think this will change if Biden becomes our next President.
We heard threats of violence if President Trump was re-elected. We saw store owners in major cities prepare for that threat of violence by boarding up store-fronts and closing their businesses. We were all relieved when the violence didn’t come. Then on Saturday, November 14th in Washington D. C. a rally was held to support President Trump and the 73 million people who voted for him. There were tens of thousands of people there, even though the fake news reported that only ten thousand were in attendance. All was fine until the sun went down. That is when Antifa and Black Lives Matter showed up and began to violently attack the “MAGA People” as the fake news described them.
If it’s found that President Trump is re-elected, I believe the violence will get worse. I don’t have any hope that it will stop if Biden is found to have won. I believe that Biden and those on the Left have promised so much to the anarchists, Antifa, BLM and the “Squad” that it will be impossible for them to deliver it all. Then those radical groups will feel it is their right to cause more violence. They will feel more emboldened when the Left disbands or “re-imagines” the police.
Academy award winning actor Jon Voight summed up this thought when he said he was “disgusted with this lie that Biden has been chosen. There will be a price to pay. The ones who are jumping for joy now are jumping toward the horror they will be in for. I know the promises being made from the Left to the American people will never come to be. My friends from all colors, races and religions, this is now our greatest fight since the Civil War.”
To once again quote Thomas Paine, “These are the times that try men’s souls.” I heard a man in Connecticut say he is so disgusted that he has removed all American flags from his home. This is the wrong attitude to take. We, on the Right, need to fly more American flags. We need to show more patriotism. We need to do what we can to teach others that the American dream is not dead. It can be re-energized. America has been through hard times before. Stay strong. Stay committed, and most of all do not ever give up hope in America and the American people.
