Common Sense is Returning
Have you noticed in the last eight months that common sense is making a return in America? I have, and I’m encouraged that we are seeing a return to what makes America great. I give much of the credit to Donald Trump. President Trump is doing what most Americans have been wanting for years, making America great. To paraphrase George Patton: “Americans love a leader and will not tolerate a loser.” There is a truism that says, “we herd sheep, we drive cattle, we lead people.” President Trump is not a politician, he is a leader, something lacking in the Democratic party today.
If we use a little common sense, we see that “wokeness” is the antithesis of a free society. Dan Nunn of the Nunn Report defines ‘woke” as “An overzealous, dogmatic adherence to progressive ideologies that prioritize identity politics, political correctness, and moral grandstanding over individual freedom, reason, or traditional values. It’s seen as a mindset that enforces rigid social norms, stifles dissent, and promotes performative virtue, often at the expense of practical solutions or open debate.” Frederick Douglas understood the tyranny of the woke when he said years ago, “Liberty is meaningless where the right to utter one’s own thoughts and opinions has ceased to exist.”
When the Left speaks of democracy, they really mean free thought and free speech, anything that doesn’t agree with their ideology. The truth is, wokeness is a way to limit free speech. The Democrats are destroying free speech with very few democrat voters realizing it. Dresden James has said, “When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.” This is one reason some people cannot recognize the truth when they hear it.
Americans are beginning to wake up to the truth that the Democrats do not care about them, the rule of law or even America. We are tired of being pushed around and called “cruel” when we don’t like men in women’s sports or bathrooms. We are tired of being called racist if we want to deport criminal aliens from crime ridden cities. We want the drug dealers, rapists, murderers, burglars, car jackers, and child molesters put in prison and kept there. We are also tired of activist judges doing all they can to disrupt Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” agenda. This is common sense if you are not suffering from Trump derangement syndrome.
Merriam-Webster dictionary defines common sense as: “A sound and prudent judgment based on a simple perception of the situation or facts.” The Cambridge Dictionary defines common sense as: “The basic level of practical knowledge and judgment that we all need to help us live in a reasonable and safe way.” One thing I know for sure, Donald Trump is a leader with common sense. Yes, Americans love a leader, especially one with common sense.
It doesn’t take a lot of common sense to realize that the Democratic party is on the wrong side of most, if not all, of the issues that are important to most Americans today. Albert Einstein told us, “The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.” We hear every day what Liberals say in public, most of which I say is evil. Democrats and Liberals have said they want to punch the president in the face, beat him up, and even assassinate him. They refer to MAGA people as Nazis and worse. The Left say they have a big tent and all are welcome, but it’s really only if you agree with them.
I said that Democrats do not care about America or its citizens. They have proven it by their words. Democrats have chosen our enemies over Israel, Muslims over Americans, socialism over democracy, criminals over police, illegal aliens over citizens, Wall Street over Main Street, communism over capitalism, and atheism over God.
We are all tired of the lies the Democrats have told us over the years. Some of these lies include what they called “transitory” inflation, Covid, crime numbers, border security, Biden’s dementia, Hunter’s laptop, and Russian collusion, just to name a few. All of these lies would not have been possible if it hadn’t been for CNN, MSNBC, PBS, ABC, and CBS hiding the facts from the public.
There is an old radio program from the 1940s called The Shadow. The opening line on every new episode is, “Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?” The proof is self-evident by listening to the daily news, you can’t help but see what evil lurks in the hearts of the radical Liberals.
The Democrats are trying to destroy our free-market system. Milton Freeman taught us, “The great virtue of a free-market system is that it does not care what color people are; it does not care what their religion is; it only cares whether they produce something you want to buy. It is the most effective system we have discovered to enable people who hate one another to deal with one another and help one another.” This system promotes prosperity while allowing individual thought and ideology, which is what we all want for each other.
Like President Trump I am not tired of winning. I don’t understand why the Democrats aren’t tired of losing.
