Our Christmas Wish Came True
November 5th was a great day for the freedom loving people of America. I, like many of you, prayed that Donald Trump would be victorious in the election. When I woke up that morning to hear the good news, I immediately thought of George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation from 1789. It reads in part, “Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor… for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which He hath been pleased to confer upon us.” These are great words that I wish more people in America lived by. I believe President Trump was re-elected because patriotic Americans acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, work hard to obey His will, and are grateful for His benefits, thereby receiving His protection and favor. I honestly believe Trump was elected because of the many prayers on his and our country’s behalf.
I believe that Donald J. Trump will keep his promise to “Make America Great Again.” He did it once and he will do it again. The only thing in his way will be those politicians who want to keep the status quo, wasting our tax dollars on pet projects that only serve a small group of people, and buying the votes to insure they stay in office.
I am looking forward to January 20th, when Donald Trump will be sworn in as our 47th president, and Joe Biden will be a civilian where he will be unable to do any more damage to this great nation.
President Biden did real harm to America with his burdensome regulations, the lawfare against his political rivals and the attacks on the first, second, and fourth amendments. He did his best to “fundamentally change America” by opening the southern border which allowed criminal gangs to enter the country. His border policy allowed drugs and human traffickers free reign to come across the border. We are all concerned about Biden’s lack of leadership and declining mental acuity. We are now worried that World War lll could start at any time. These are only a few of my concerns. I’m sure they may be yours also.
It is not my intent to review the disaster of the last four years. It is my intention to thank God for his blessing to the good men and women who prayed that the freedoms we have enjoyed for more than 248 years will continue and that America will remain the beacon of hope and an example of freedom and prosperity to the rest of the world.
President Trump doesn’t take office until January 20, 2025, but we can already see a change in people’s attitude. People are happy and hopeful again. The despair that we have felt has been lifted from our minds as we look forward to President Trump, JD Vance and his Cabinet once again becoming the leaders of the free world. During the Carter years there was “malaise,” but these last four years have been much worse. Now things have changed. Have you noticed that people are happier today? This is evidenced by people doing the “Trump Dance” at sporting events and other public venues.
I agree with Kirk Cameron, an award-winning actor, evangelist, and author who said recently, “I can feel the rumblings of revival under my feet everywhere I go.” We are happy because we know that President Trump will keep his campaign promises. We will begin drilling for our own oil, the border will become secure, criminal aliens will be deported, human trafficking will not be tolerated, and our quality of life will improve. Because of President Trump’s Cabinet picks the FBI, the Secret Service, the DOJ, and the CIA will begin to be trusted and will work to protect Americans instead of criminals and those who do not belong here.
Yes, things will begin to get better soon after the inauguration, but it will not be easy for Trump or for us. The Left is completely opposed to President Trump and how he plans to make America great. There’s an old saying “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” I believe the Left feels as if they have been scorned. They felt sure that Hillary Clinton would win in 2016. This year they were positive that Kamala Harris would win, but she didn’t. Now they are acting like a woman scorned and they are already planning how to disrupt Trump’s presidency.
The next four years are going to be better for us all, but it will not be easy. It will be up to everyone who believes in President Trump and his vision for America to continue to support him, no matter how hard it may be. There is a saying in the Army, “when the going gets tough, the tough get going.” We need to be tough; we need to be brave; we need to keep our eye on the prize, which is freedom. Remember all the lies the Left told us for the past four years? They are not going to stop lying to us now.
Albert Eistein reminded us all when he said, “the world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything.” Let us not be silent in this struggle. The Right won in November, but we cannot relax. We must not surrender our beliefs and what we know to be right because I am sure that the Left will continue their fight to fundamentally change America.
